Statement:

"Trees play an important role in a complex and biologically diverse ecosystem in both the built and natural environments. Trees inspire humans in diverse ways through the connection with nature, the cycles of the seasons, breathing oxygen into the environment, and being observers of time. The development of the built environment promotes the protection of the Adelaide Park Lands. Trees reinforce their importance in the current climate and inspire the need for them to be protected. A tree's bark is its protective layer, which shields the inner workings of the tree. Bark plays a vital role in conserving water and protecting the tree’s essential living systems from environmental and situational dangers. "
