Sterling Silver Rings (Set of 5)
Statement:

“Bark Mothers” are a series of rings inspired by the beauty and presence of the eucalypts in the Adelaide Park Lands.Linnaean taxonomy would classify the eucalypt as non-sentient: from the myrtle family and the Plantae kingdom. But First Nations peoples have always regarded trees as part of their community; connected to spirit, connected to land, and connected to each other. Like mothers, trees are life bearers and life givers. The mother rings are made through the organic process of pulling and twisting wax to cast in sterling silver. The resultant striations, curls, and gnarled surface details are reflective of the bark growth and patterns found on different varieties of eucalypts creating a tactile experience for the wearer.
